About the Artist
Asger Jorn (1914–1973) was a Danish painter, printmaker and ceramicist, best known as a co-founder of the COBRA movement. His works are characterized by bold colors, expressive forms and a highly experimental approach to materials. Today, Jorn is regarded as one of Denmark’s most important modernist artists with significant international recognition.
