18th Century Danish Gustavian Painted Bench, circa 1780–1790
Decorative and elegant Gustavian bench from the late 18th century, crafted in beechwood and preserved with its original light-painted surface, showing a beautiful and naturally developed patina.
The bench features a classic architectural Gustavian design with a sculptural back, finely carved details characteristic of the period, and gently curved armrests with delicately carved wooden terminals. The straight, tapered legs and harmonious proportions reflect the refined neoclassical aesthetic of the time.
Note: The bench requires new upholstery.
