Tidlig surrealistisk komposition udført i sort tusch, grå vandfarve og blå farveblyant på karduspapir.
Signeret “de Sala”.
På bagsiden er værket påført inskriptionen September 1915, hvilket dokumenterer, at der er tale om et tidligt værk i kunstnerens produktion.
Kompositionen består af geometriske og organiske former i sort og grå, hvor markante linjer skaber et stramt og dynamisk, næsten arkitektonisk udtryk. De skarpe vinkler og buede former samles i en tæt og velafbalanceret helhed.
Værket viser en tidlig udvikling af det formsprog, som senere kom til at kendetegne kunstnerens modernistiske arbejder.
Professionelt indrammet med passepartout og glas.
