English Regency Period Mahogany Drum Table with Leather Top, circa 1820–1830
Regency library table crafted in beautiful mahogany with fine inlays in satinwood and maple wood.
The table features the characteristic “drum table” form with a circular body and integrated drawers all the way around.
The top is covered with the original green leather, decorated with gilt tooling. There is a minor, well-executed repair to the center.
The base is formed by a central turned column resting on an elegant tripod base with fluted and carved details.
The legs terminate in original brass caps and casters, both decorative and functional.
The drawers are finely made with original brass handles and locks, highlighting the high level of craftsmanship.
A highly decorative and functional piece of furniture from the Regency period.
