A striking and highly decorative Art Nouveau vase by H.A. Kähler, Denmark, dating from around 1900.
The vase is executed in an elegant inverted baluster form and showcases an exceptional glaze composition, where rich mustard-yellow glaze flows dramatically across a luminous ground of burgundy, violet, and cobalt-blue tones. The iridescent surface creates remarkable depth and movement, allowing the colours to shift subtly with the light.
Both sculptural and painterly in its expression, the vase exemplifies the experimental spirit that made Kähler one of the leading names in Danish art pottery at the turn of the twentieth century.
