Decorative table / floor lamp designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, Denmark, circa 1960s.
Executed in black-lacquered wrought iron, the lamp features a sculptural composition of slender vertical iron rods combined with inset stained glass panels in vibrant turquoise and cobalt blue tones. Rectangular and circular glass elements are arranged in an elegant geometric composition, creating a striking interplay of light, colour and transparency that changes beautifully depending on the viewing angle.
The refined black iron framework provides a strong contrast to the vivid coloured glass and reflects Holm Sørensen's characteristic use of wrought iron combined with stained glass. Both functional and highly decorative, the lamp possesses an almost architectural presence and works equally well as a lighting object and as a sculptural piece.
Mounted on its original black-painted wooden base.
Presented in very good condition with minor age-related wear consistent with age and use.
Sold without lampshade.
