French Louis-Philippe mantel clock executed in ormolu bronze.
The scene depicts an elegant lady in period dress practising at a square piano, with sheet music in her hand and an open music book before her.
The clock is richly decorated with Rococo-inspired scrollwork, foliage and floral ornamentation. The broad base is centred by a finely detailed arrangement of flowers surrounded by scrolling ornament and raised on decorative rocaille feet.
The clock has a silvered metal dial with black Roman numerals and black hands.
Dimensions: H. 39 × W. 29.5 × D. 11 cm / H. 15.35 × W. 11.61 × D. 4.33 in.
