18th Century Swedish Gustavian Breakfront Display Cabinet in Oak

Gustavian breakfront display cabinet in two parts, crafted in oak with a black painted surface and beautiful patina. Sweden, circa 1780–1800.
The upper cabinet is crowned by a pronounced moulded cornice with a carved dentil frieze and a lower band of stylised ornament.
The two glazed doors have moulded frames, original glass and shaped carved details to the upper sections.
The interior is fitted with two shelves and painted in a beautiful contrasting dusty blue-green tone.
The corners of the cabinet are flanked by half-columns with brass details and bronze capitals. The lower section is fitted with two smaller drawers above three wide drawers, all with moulded edges, round brass handles and key escutcheons.
The cabinet rests on a moulded plinth with a carved apron and short feet.
A decorative cabinet of high cabinetmaking quality, with fine detailing and a beautifully patinated painted surface that reveals the warm tone of the oak in places.

- If you do not find there is a suitable shipping solution, you have the option to cancel your purchase or choose another solution.
- When goods and a suitable freight solution is agreed, the amount of the goods purchased is proceeded deducted from your account (unless the payment has already been made via bank transfer.)
- The cost of freight is invoiced by the transport company.
- The goods are shipped / picked up as agreed.
