French Empire mantel clock in ormolu, decorated with Orpheus with lyre and harp.
The dial has a finely decorated ormolu centre, surrounded by white enamel with black Roman numerals.
The front of the clock case is finely chased with flowers, foliage and musical instruments.
The broad base is likewise finely chased with foliage and flowers, as well as a central lyre surrounded by a floral wreath. The clock rests on four round feet.
A decorative and richly detailed Empire mantel clock of high quality.
