Rare 18th Century Danish Gustavian 'Wellington' Chest of Drawers in Black-Painted Oak

A distinctive and rare model of a Gustavian 'Wellington' chest, elegantly black-painted and displaying a beautifully aged patina.
It features a finely profiled top, eight drawers with moulded edges, and canted corners adorned with vertical fluting.
The base is finished with a profiled apron and a gently bowed front, enhanced by refined moulding, and rests on tapered, fluted legs with carved rosettes.
A slender, architectural and decorative piece.
