Chatollet er opbygget i to dele med en klassisk overdel med dobbeltlåger med profilerede fyldninger, messingbeslag samt hængsler i smedejern. Bag lågerne findes hylder, velegnet til opbevaring. Øverst indretning til ophæng af sølvtøj. Øverst er den profilerede krone dekoreret med fine tandsnit, som understreger den gustavianske stil.
Underdelen med bærehåndtag i siderne samt en skrå skriveklap, som åbner op til et smukt indrettet skriveinteriør i smuk blå nuance. Her findes flere små skuffer samt et centralt skab med kanneleret front og lås.
Nederst 4 skuffer med messingbeslag. Øverste skuffe er smal og har en dekorativ kanneleret front. Herunder 3 større skuffer med arkitektonisk detaljeret fyldning, flankeret af kvartsøjler.
Chatollet afsluttes med en dekorativ træskåret kantliste med tandsnit, og hele møblet bæres af kannelerede ben.
Et yderst dekorativt og funktionelt møbel med masser af karakter og en fin patina.
