Rare double-sided oil on panel by Danish-French artist Eugène de Sala (1899–1987), painted in Paris c.1920s. Picasso-inspired figurative composition on the front; atmospheric still life on the reverse. Original period frame included.

Crafted in the 1950s / 1960's by master cabinetmaker Poul Jeppesen in richly grained Rio rosewood with original cane and leather. Exceptionally well-preserved with a deep, warm patina – rosewood at its most beautiful.
