Elegant and architecturally designed Gustavian chest of drawers, painted in a soft grey tone with a black-painted top and beautiful patina.
The top rests above a finely carved frieze with a classical dentil motif.
The corpus features four drawers – the upper, smaller drawer with vertical fluting that continues gracefully along the sides, followed by three larger drawers with brass fittings.
The sides are adorned with fluted quarter columns, and the chest stands on square, fluted legs, giving the piece a harmonious and well-balanced appearance.
A fine example of Danish Gustavian craftsmanship from the late 18th century.
