19th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese Sideboard in Original Orange-Red and Black Lacquer with Patinated Hardware
A Qing dynasty sideboard from Shanxi province, circa 1860–1880, featuring two drawers and a pair of doors with patinated metal fittings.
The top and front are finished in a rich orange-red lacquer, contrasting with black lacquered sides.
The original lacquer remains in excellent condition and has been refreshed with a clear topcoat that enhances the warmth and depth of the colors.
