Colonial Chair, model PJ 149 – designed in 1949 by Ole Wanscher and produced by PJ Møbler, handcrafted in the 1950s-60's by renowned Danish cabinetmaker Poul Jeppesen.
With original maker’s mark under the frame.
Made from exquisite Rio rosewood with a hand-woven cane seat and original black leather cushions, all showing an elegant, natural patina.
The rosewood has developed a stunning depth and glow over time – the kind of richness and character that only age can bring, and when this precious wood is truly at its finest.
(The seat cushions can be refilled if desired, as they have softened slightly over the years.)
An iconic piece – Wanscher’s masterpiece – presented here in an original, untouched and exceptionally well-preserved condition.

Either personally by carrier or third party. NB. Remember that if a person other than the buyer or a shipping company is coming to pick up the goods, ID and a power of attorney must be displayed to the buyer to avoid unauthorized disclosure.

We would prefer being noticed no later than 2 days before the goods are picked up.
2. You prefer our help finding the best possible shipping solution.
In this case, we will ALWAYS contact you later to agree on options and prices.
- If you do not find there is a suitable shipping solution, you have the option to cancel your purchase or choose another solution.
- When goods and a suitable freight solution is agreed, the amount of the goods purchased is proceeded deducted from your account (unless the payment has already been made via bank transfer.)
