An elegant, smaller cabinet from Fujian province in elm and pine wood.
The piece retains its original red-black lacquer with a beautiful, naturally aged patina highlighted by a clear lacquer finish.
The cabinet features a pair of paneled doors finished in red lacquer, framed by black lacquer borders, creating a striking contrast. The doors are fitted with patinated brass mounts, and behind them are shelves and a pair of drawers, making the cabinet both functional and decorative.
The design and proportions are characteristic of the Ming style, crafted in the Fujian province, China, c. 1840.
