English hanging corner cabinet with a bowed front from the George II period, circa 1730.
Originally decorated with japanned motifs executed in gold leaf on a black and red ground, depicting birds, houses, trees, and figures.
Fitted with original “butterfly” brass hinges and wall-mounting fittings.
The interior is painted in a beautiful, vibrant red colour, providing a striking contrast to the darker exterior.
A finely crafted and richly detailed piece, preserved in its original and exceptionally well-kept condition.
