Pair of Rare Hand-Coloured Engravings “Tableau de l’Armée Française”, circa 1830–1840 – After Lejeune, Published by Louis de Kleist, Dresden

Smukt sæt af to håndkolorerede kobberstik, der skildrer den franske kejserhær under Napoleons- og restaurationsperioden.
Motiverne viser henholdsvis kavaleriet (1re Section, La Cavalerie – Nouvelle Organisation) og infanteriet (2e Section, L’Infanterie – Nouvelle Organisation), begge udført efter malerier af Louis-François Lejeune (1775–1848) – fransk general, diplomat og kunstner, kendt for sine præcise og dramatiske skildringer af Napoleonskrigene.
Kobberstikkene er udgivet hos Louis de Kleist i Dresden omkring 1830–1840, med tekst både på fransk og tysk:
“Die Königl. Französische Armee” / “Tableau de l’Armée Française”.
Begge værker er indrammet i deres originale forgyldte empire-rammer fra Damborg, og har tidligere hængt på Villa Christiania i Skodsborg. Proveniensen er dokumenteret via et mærkat fra Kobberstikhuset v/ Carl Lissau, København, hvor det også noteres, at værkerne er arvet efter Helga Henriques.

- If you do not find there is a suitable shipping solution, you have the option to cancel your purchase or choose another solution.
- When goods and a suitable freight solution is agreed, the amount of the goods purchased is proceeded deducted from your account (unless the payment has already been made via bank transfer.)
