19th Century Danish Empire Mahogany Sewing Table with Gilded Bronze Inlays and Secret Compartments
Danish empire mahogany sewing table, expertly crafted with refined quality. The oval tabletop features a gilded bronze edge, with a central black-polished oval inlay adorned with gilded bronze detailing. The table includes a drawer within the apron, internally divided into multiple compartments and small drawers. When the drawer is open, the sides can be extended to reveal additional storage space. Please see photos. The top of the apron is adorned with gilded bronze mounts set against a black background. The front showcases birdseye maple inlay and walnut diamond patterns, with an additional compartment with a lid in maple, decorated with a green central panel. The table stands on tapered legs. Original condition, carefully restored.
