Pair of Blue Gustavian Chests of Drawers, Gustavian Style, Sweden c. 1840–1860

A refined and elegant pair of chests of drawers executed in the Gustavian style and painted in nuanced shades of blue with geometric ornamentation.
Each chest features a moulded top above three drawers fitted with brass mounts. The upper drawer is decorated with an à la grec frieze and a centrally placed pair of sphinxes painted in a light yellow tone.
The middle and lower drawers are architecturally decorated with geometric patterns.
The sides are slightly angled and adorned with vertical fluting, finished at the top with carved wooden details.
The chests stand on tapered, fluted legs, giving them a light and harmonious appearance.

- If you do not find there is a suitable shipping solution, you have the option to cancel your purchase or choose another solution.
- When goods and a suitable freight solution is agreed, the amount of the goods purchased is proceeded deducted from your account (unless the payment has already been made via bank transfer.)
- The cost of freight is invoiced by the transport company.
- The goods are shipped / picked up as agreed.
