Empire Chest of Drawers in Cuban Mahogany
This elegant Empire chest, crafted in Cuban mahogany, showcases a stunning wood grain pattern. The piece features a curved front with four drawers, beautifully adorned with intricate marquetry inlays made from maple, walnut, and lemon wood.
The top drawer, which is narrower, opens with a unique mechanism—a concealed knob located at the back of the chest releases a spring, causing the drawer to pop open. This drawer is further embellished with delicate line inlays in a rhombus pattern.
Below the top drawer, three large drawers are framed by additional marquetry detailing. The chest is finished with a profiled edge on the top surface, adding a refined touch.
Originating from Copenhagen, Denmark, circa 1810, this chest has been carefully restored with a wax finish, giving it a modern, elegant appearance while preserving its timeless classic features

- If you do not find there is a suitable shipping solution, you have the option to cancel your purchase or choose another solution.
- When goods and a suitable freight solution is agreed, the amount of the goods purchased is proceeded deducted from your account (unless the payment has already been made via bank transfer.)
- The cost of freight is invoiced by the transport company.
- The goods are shipped / picked up as agreed.
