A classic English campaign chest crafted in solid, finely figured Cuban mahogany, showcasing a beautiful flame grain throughout.
Constructed in two sections, as typical for this type of portable campaign furniture, the chest features two short drawers over three full-width drawers. All drawers retain their original recessed brass handles and escutcheons.
The sides are fitted with characteristic brass carrying handles, emphasizing the piece’s original purpose as a transportable storage chest.
Brass strapping is applied below the top and along the base, complemented by brass corner mounts that serve both a structural and decorative function.
Raised on bracket feet.
Presented in original condition with a carefully repolished surface, preserving a warm patina consistent with age.
