Rare and well-preserved 15-16th century Ming dynasty cabinet
Detailed carved top section depicting a floral leaf design and people in polychrome lacquer.
Front with red lacquer, pair of panel doors with iron fittings flanked by carvings.
The cabinet is raised on carved and scrolled legs.
Presumably from a temple, this is an absolute treasure for a cabinet in original untouched condition that only has undergone a gently cleaning and structural stabilization.
Shanxi Province 1500-1600 century.
