Qing Dynasty Red Lacquer Elmwood Cabinet, China, 1840-1860
Chinese cabinet / sideboard from the Qing period, crafted in elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. The sides and top feature the original black lacquer, adding contrast to the vibrant front. The front includes a pair of doors, with additional panels on each side that can be opened, and three drawers positioned beneath. Beautifully patinated round metal fittings.
The cabinet is in excellent condition, with the original lacquer preserved and highlighted by a clear lacquer top coat, giving it a refined finish.
