Royal Copenhagen Lidded Porcelain Vase by Oluf Jensen and Knud Andersen, Denmark, 1933
One-of-a-kind lidded vase executed in porcelain for Royal Copenhagen, dated 1933.
The vase was designed by Hans Hansen and Svend Nielsen and is executed in porcelain with a crackled celadon glaze.
The hand-painted decoration depicting bleeding hearts (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) was executed by the porcelain painter Oluf Jensen (1871–1934) in blue tones with gilt details.
The vase is mounted with lid and base in patinated and partially gilt bronze executed by Knud Andersen (1892–1966).
The porcelain is monogrammed and dated 25/4 1933 and bears the mark of Royal Copenhagen. The bronze is engraved with the monogram KA and Royal Copenhagen.
First quality. Presented in perfect condition.
