This Ming style chest is constructed of wood with multiple layers of original black and red lacquer, according to the Chinese traditional technique.
With a natural age-related patina. The lighter areas are the undercoat shinning through. A clear lacquer finish highlights the antique character and beautiful patina of this chest.
