Mogens Bøggild graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1924 and later served as a professor there. He primarily worked with sculptures of humans and animals.
Throughout his career, Bøggild received numerous honors, including the Eckersberg Medal in 1930 and the Thorvaldsen Medal in 1940.
