Hindu sandstone carving depicting Nandi God in human form. 600-800 years old (or older).
An exceptional sculpture carved in sandstone from temple in Arakan, Burma.
Original in 12 parts - in the temple, there have most likely been plastering between the parts, but we have chosen not to do same, to preserve the originality best possible. The 12 parts are put together with special screws, so strong that it can be lifted at the top without any problem.
In wonderful original condition with natural age-related patina.
Mounted upon a light sandstone base.

The sculpture is at least 600-800 years old, but most likely even older.
Nandi (also Nandin) is the sacred bull calf, gatekeeper, and vehicle (vahana) of the Hindu god Shiva. Sculptures of Nandi are a common sight in the entrances of many Hindu temples dedicated to his master.
At some temples Shiva can take the form of a bull, known as Nandikeshwara, where he often stands guard holding symbols of Shiva.

Either personally by carrier or third party. NB. Remember that if a person other than the buyer or a shipping company is coming to pick up the goods, ID and a power of attorney must be displayed to the buyer to avoid unauthorized disclosure.

We would prefer being noticed no later than the day before the goods are picked up.
