Sung glazed stoneware baby elephant by Knud Kyhn for Royal Copenhagen.
The sculpture is decorated with a light earthy Sung glaze with a touch of green.
Marked and signed KK to the base. No. 20138. Denmark 1950's.
Measures: H: 17 cm | W: 23 cm. In perfect condition
Knud Kyhn (1880-1969) was one of Denmark's leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. He became a prominent designer of figurines with earthy Sung glazes, especially known for his many animal figurines, which he created through his 45 years of service at Royal Copenhagen.
