Item of the Month
Each month, we highlight a piece that stands out from the ordinary and deserves special attention.
This month, we have selected a rare, large stoneware dish by Per Weiss (1951–2023), signed and dated 1987.
The piece is decorated with concentric circles and rhythmic lines – a hallmark of Weiss’ distinctive visual language.
The carved grooves are filled with glossy light grey glaze, while the raised areas remain in matte brown. This interplay of texture and finish creates a vivid relief with strong materiality and sculptural presence.
A boldly decorative work and a rare example of Weiss’ large-scale dishes – in perfect condition.
